Jenny walked into the student lounge. She was extremely tired, and it was free period. She could of went over to the library... but it was pretty full, and kids would make fun of her if she read in there. It was what people didn't understand about her. They made fun of her. They created who she was. "THEY" made her personality. The kids of the school were always ragging at her and what not... so what was there to do? Of course Jenny chooses the worst option. She is a backstabbing bitch right at them... those who made her who she is.
The lounge was empty. Silence lingered on. No one was in here. Jenny walked over to a mini refridgerator, and she grabbed a miniature can of mountain dew out. She popped the lid open and the soda spritzed out all over. It must of been shaken or something. Too much oxygen might of been in it, perhaps? The flooring, luckily, was tile. Jenny groaned. Slouched over, she walked over to the table to get a few napkins and a sponge. She cleaned it with a hard touch. It was just how she was feeling. Like a large portion of the world had turned their backs on her.
Jenny took the soda, and gulped a bit of it's remainder, and flushed the rest of the contents into the sink. It tasted funny. The soda tingled on Jenny's lips. For some reason, she had a feeling something bad was going to happen... and with that, she threw the can out and walked over to a lounge chair. She crossed her legs one over the other, and flipped her book open. She was reading Harry Potter and the Halfblood Prince. She enjoyed the series. She read them constantly. Week after week. Sometimes she wished she was even magical. But she wouldn't have a place to go in... would she?
Jenny flipped the page. Her eyes were scanning the small print. The text was very interesting to her. She continued to read, mere thought into what was going to happen. Silence continued to linger on. The only noise was the flipping of the crisp, fresh pages.
All of a sudden... the silence was broken. The door slammed open......

Aaron walked in the door of the student lounge, his backpack slung over his shoulder. He stopped in the doorway, frozen by the glance of the girl who'd looked up when he'd opened the door a little more forcefully than he meant to.
"Oh...uh....sorry. I didn't know anyone else was in here," he said as he took a seat at one of the tables. He pulled out his psychology book, but he was hoping that he could find something else to distract him from the homework he needed to do. The last thing he needed was the added stress of doing a paper on the various aspects of the psyche and how they influence each other...
"You're Jenny, right?" he asked, deciding that this red-headed girl would be a welcome distraction from his paper. He knew he'd seen her around school, but he never bothered to talk to her. Worst case scenario: she'd turn out to be a bitch and he'd have to do his paper.
He figured he'd take his chances.

Jenny's stomach sunk back in as she saw that it was nothing to be freaked out by. She saw this kid around in school. Aaron, maybe? Yeah. That was it. Gemma was telling her about him in tech action lab. She quickly folded her page in her book, and slid it under a close pillow. She smiled as she looked at Aaron. He was a total babe. No wonder why Gem was interested. Now just one thing. She had to play it cool.
"Oh...uh....sorry. I didn't know anyone else was in here," She nodded as he talked. "That's 'kay." She said, a bittersweet smile formed upon her lips as she unraveled her legs and sat them over the couch, crossed.
You're Jenny, right?" She nodded. "Yeah. And I think you're Aaron?" She asked, just to reassure herself. It was so classical that he heard of her. He had to of. Jenny was GEMMA SPECKTOR'S best friend. Who wouldn't hear of the two of them gossiping together and what not? Jenny kept glancing down at the pillow, as if she was reading through the pillow and the cover of the book. Through many pages.
She looked back up at Aaron. "So." She began. "What brings you here?" She had a bitchy tone, but at the same time, sweet. It was so weird how she was capable of such strange stuff like that.

So, this girl was a complete bitch. At least, not on the surface, but it was still there. Still, he didn't know whether or not it was just an act or she was just always like that, and he didn't care to find out. He was immediately put off by her, but nodded in reply to her question.
Suddenly, he realized where he'd seen her before. This girl was Gemma's best friends, and she made every effort to weasel her way into things that were originally supposed to be just he and Gemma. He'd never actually bothered to get to know her, and he wasn't about to. His reply was laced with venom and slathered in honey.
"Oh, just taking a break between classes," he said, his mind coming up with all sorts of reasons why he'd been right in not getting to know her. Well, if she wanted to be a bitch, he didn't exactly have to be nice, either.

"Oh, just taking a break between classes," She could tell he was pissed at her by his voice. That wasn't good. She had to push Aaron and Gemma back together... after all, it probably WOULD make Gem happier. "Lots uh' work?" She knew he was most likely to say yes, but hey, it was worth a shot. She swiftly stuck her hand under the pillow and grabbed the book, then she stuffed it into her American Eagle bag. Jenny glanced over at the phycology book that Aaron was using, and she herself slung her bag over her shoulder, walked over to the table, and sat down in a seat next to Aaron. She dug out the book.
They were assigned a writting essay. Five pages, nothing less. Not too bad considering most of the teachers assignments. "Wanna work together?" She batted her eyes. Okay, so she was trying to get done the Gemma/Aaron tie back, but she was flirting at the same time. Anyways, she'd benifit from getting Gem and Aaron back together. It would all just be worth it. Plus, she'd get to crush little Cora's heart. Now wouldn't that be brilliant? Yeah. It's always been that way. Jenny always had a problem with Cora, and Gemma liked Cora. With Cora out of the way, Jenny would get more attention from Gemma. It would work. After all... didn't most things that Jenny wanted, she'd get.
So Aaron didn't want to be high flyin' friends with Jenny. That's okay. As soon as the name Gemma came out of his mouth, things would turn around. Wouldn't they?
